Director of Sales & Business Development for Savour Food Safety International, Kris is also a United States Air Force Veteran with a bachelors in Microbiology from Bowling Green State University. After serving 14 years in the Air Force and earning her degree, she started her career as a microbiologist at Nestle‘s Quality Assurance Center (NQAC). After about three years, staying within the food safety industry, she moved to a sales and business development role. While in her sales role she worked for a food safety testing lab then a regulatory consulting firm to the food and beverage, dietary supplement, animal feed, cosmetic and homeopathic industries.
Kris has continued her education by taking courses for: HACCP, Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), BRC practitioner, and SQF practitioner.
Kris is a member-at-large on the Ohio Valley IFT board and has been an IFT member since 2014. She also serves on the board of GETDOT, a nonprofit networking organization that enhances the lives of children through community and organization of charitable events. Kris has volunteered the last two hockey seasons for her son’s high school hockey team as the team’s game operations manager.
Her favorite role is being a mom to her 16-year-old hockey player, Westin.
